At first, Jackie Li’s debut single, “You Can Go” sounds like a kiss-off: “You won’t forget me and my body parts,” she sings. Soon though, the familiar imagery of an obsessive gaze on a woman’s body is artfully flipped with charged lyrics like “We need no counsel on our body parts,” unveiling a powerful statement about gender equality. It’s a standout performance from a talented writer who knows exactly what she wants to say and how to deliver it. Fans can look forward to music that's honest about the hardships of life, but that also glistens with refreshing optimism. Jackie is a New York native, and currently resides in the Hudson Valley where she is working on a full-length studio album.

In the pilot episode, Jackie shares an original taco recipe and tells the story behind one of her new songs.
